What is Motion Design about

Motion design is a digital discipline that applies the principles of graphic design to the production of video content through the use of animation and visual effects. In addition to graphics, a modern motion designer interacts with such components as time, space and sound. Moreover, now designers are not at all limited to reality as such. Today, motion technology allows you to manifest wonders of creativity, creating transcendent fantasy worlds that amaze the imagination. But let’s figure out which trends will be especially in demand in the coming year, what’s new in the digital visualization technique, and what styles and techniques should be paid attention to in order to keep abreast and keep abreast of the modern realities of motion design.

3D is everywhere

From commercials to product shots, marketing campaigns and game designs, 3D animation is opening up new doors to display pictures and scenes that would be nearly impossible to achieve otherwise. We will see more 3D throughout 2020 across all industries and sectors.

Explosions, natural disasters, dinosaurs and transformers … Such scenes cannot be filmed in real life. But thanks to the visual effects, we can see them in films or commercials. By combining real video with computer graphics, you can easily transfer the viewer to another magical reality, where anything is possible. Not surprisingly, this kind of motion animation is becoming more and more popular. It is a hybrid of technology and craftsmanship that gives viewers an exclusive visual experience. Hurry up so that interesting visuals are included in your marketing campaign. This is a trend that cannot be ignored.

More VFX in Ads

The use of visual effects in commercials has allowed companies to promote their product presentation. And this is an important aspect for any marketing campaign. From enhancing detail and aesthetics that contribute to a more beautiful picture, to enhancing dramatic moments and increasing the overall effect of advertising. This is clearly seen in car advertisements.

VR

“If you’ve been around a tech-savvy friend or relative in the past 12 months, chances are good that you’ve heard a mention of virtual reality at some point. Virtual reality has grown steadily from an ambitious game-focused fantasy back in 2012 to a real-world environment used by multinational corporations and organizations around the world. ” This trend will continue to gain traction throughout 2021.

Blending 2D and 3D From small commercials to large budget projects, motion designers are exploring new ways to combine 2D and 3D. This creates an opportunity to offer viewers a variety of new and interesting experiences. This trend will continue to gain traction, especially in digital advertising and marketing.

More GIFs Thanks to their small scale and wide availability, GIFs are a great way to engage customers and share ideas, especially on social media. GIFs can be used even more by companies looking to market themselves digitally.

Extremely Complex 3D and VFX Due to their ability for visual encapsulation, extremely complex 3D videos and the like stand out from the crowd of ordinary and mediocre, offering the user a unique visual experience incomparable to anything else. This trend will continue to gain traction with large companies and marketing campaigns.

Animated Logos

This is another great form of captivating users. Animated logos are able to grab the attention of users and also spread on familiar branded devices. For example. Set of animated Google logos.

Interaction

As there are major players in the digital sector, their resources are increasing towards creating an ever-changing user experience. Interactions have proven to be the best form for improving the user experience. We’ll notice interactions in everyday design, especially with more complex platforms like Figma and Framer, which continue to grow in popularity. After Effects is also a great tool for prototyping and shaping basic animations.

Complex interfaces

While the user interfaces of movies and commercials are unnecessarily cluttered and complex, they play a key role in impressing the viewer and producing a wow effect. The simplest user interfaces are those in which each command has a unique button, but the number of buttons displayed is limited only by the current options. This methodology allows for a huge amount of information and commands, but without cluttering the user’s screen.

Photorealistic Rendering

As the capabilities of this technology expand, it becomes possible to create believable 3D models and renderings.

Explosions, natural disasters, dinosaurs and transformers. Such scenes cannot be filmed in real life. But thanks to the visual effects, we can see them in films or commercials.
