The Director of Social Media Title Marketing will be responsible for the social marketing campaigns for a slate of Disney Branded Entertainment TV series and films to be distributed between linear cable channels and streaming platforms.

On assigned titles, you will develop and implement the digital and social strategy for the entire organic and paid marketing campaign, while working cross-functionally with the marketing organization (strategy, media, creative etc.), content teams, external showrunners and talent.


  • Partner closely with the marketing team to create high impact social and conversation driving social title campaigns
  • Communicate social strategy, campaign voice, and platform strategy through each title’s Marketing Brief
  • Manage and prioritize title responsibilities and slate in partnership with VP Social & Digital
  • Advise on, communicate and implement best social media practices and cultural landscape as it pertains to the title, evolving tactics throughout each campaign as new data emerges
  • Partner with the broader marketing title teams on talent social training, onset social capture, live social media event coverage, digital activations, digital paid media creative, influencer activations, etc.
  • Understand and communicate the cultural landscape as it pertains to the title and brand; including working across Analytics and Strategy to provide relevant reporting and updates to inform strategy, creative or stakeholders
  • Work closely with marketing to create high impact moments around title debuts - announcements, trailers, press, etc.
  • Agency and platform management duties including community management, social listening, etc. for assigned titles

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience producing custom social content and managing brand social accounts, preferably in entertainment (experience and familiarity with streaming/television/media industry is highly preferred)
  • Experience leading and inspiring a creative team
  • Must have a eam-first mentality
  • Deep understanding of working in matrixed entertainment environments
  • Strong collaboration skills, with demonstrated experience aligning cross-functional teams toward common objectives
  • Experience presenting, socializing creative vision, strategy and concepts at all levels
  • A highly effective communicator, both written and verbal
  • MUST have a passion and love for entertainment, television, film, pop culture and be very active on social media as a user themselves
  • The ability to problem solve and the patience to see through a vision and work through organizational or operational challenges
  • The ability and judgement to balance business objectives with audience needs
  • Incredibly strong organizational, strategic, and creative judgement
  • Resourcefulness, attention to detail, and comfort offering solutions and clarity where there is ambiguity
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
