This is a part time (8 to 15 hours a week) consulting position at a monthly pay rate. There will be the opportunity for a pay rate increase, under favorable conditions, 3 to 4 months after start date. Hiring immediately.

We require a short, "trial work period" so that both parties can determine whether they work well together. Details of this trial period will be discussed.

Hiring consultant social media manager and e commerce expert with specific expertise and experience in digital marketing/social media marketing techniques - for an art gallery and art import company.

Duties are various: brand development through online channels, social media posting and managing all posting, customer interaction and related sales activity for multiple Etsy stores, multiple facebook and Instagram stores and other e commerce stores.

The assistant MAY (to be determined) be responsible for managing the shipment of all purchased items: no heavy lifting required but managing of shipments may be required which means taking sold items to the local UPS Store for shipment.

This is primarily a remote position but personal interaction with the gallery owner and visits to the business location to photograph items for sale will be necessary. We anticipate one visit a week. The gallery location is near downtown Dallas.

Must have car.

MUST BE LOCAL to the DFW area and helpful if candidate lives near the Downtown Dallas area.
The consultant will be working with a senior age gallery owner so experience in dealing with seniors will be very important. Patience and the ability to explain social media approaches and strategies to a person who is not familiar with these approaches will be very important. That said, this is not a teaching position. The primary responsibilities of the social media/e commerce manager will be to brand develop, manage all social media accounts for the gallery and manage e commerce stores.

Candidate responsibilities include, but not exclusively:
- complete fluency with all important social media platforms like Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram – this includes detailed knowledge of Facebook, IG and Pinterest advertising approaches and techniques
- complete fluency with all aspects of operating and managing Etsy, Chairish, Instagram, Facebook stores
- we are looking for a marketing specialist who can enhance our brand and build strong online communities through our various social media platforms. The successful candidate will assist in the development of marketing campaigns and coordinate marketing strategy implementation to gallery brands. The candidate will also be responsible for developing and posting social media content that is designed to engage users and create an interactive relationship between customers and the company. Key for this is an ability to WRITE clearly succinctly and in an engaging way which will interest viewers. The candidate will report directly to the owner and will be responsible for taking on a variety of tasks that allow for the successful completion of planned marketing programs and social media communication.
- the consultant should be able to manage the gallery website, too – which means that the candidate should be fluent with using the WordPress administration website
- Photograph inventory for sale and style, edit photos for posts using Adobe Photoshop and other digital photo editing software.
- fluency with video editing software for video posts

Other Candidate Skills:
- fluency with Photoshop, Lightroom
- proficient with Microsoft 10 and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, et al)
- proficient with Android OS
- specific expertise in online/digital marketing, marketing strategies and branding
- prior sales experience is preferable
